The Greece to Croatia Pass covers some of the least explored jewels of the Balkans.

This Balkan Road Trip lasts 3 days and is for travellers who wish to go on a transit tour from Corfu in Greece to Dubrovnik in Croatia whilst exploring some of the highlights that Albania and Montenegro have to offer on the way.

Explore the UNESCO-listed walled city of Kotor in Montenegro, then the highlights of Albania: the capital Tirana with its lively nightlife and low prices, the Turkish town of Berat, and the fascinating Roman colony of Butrint.

The Greek island of Corfu is a great place to discover and of course you can stay there for as many days as you like before the Balkan Road Trip.

Wednesdays: CORFU - SARANDA - BUTRINT - BERAT

The ferry* from Corfu (Greece) to Saranda (Albania) leaves approx. 9.00am and as soon as you arrive in Saranda, you will be met by our guide, taken to the mini-bus and it is straight off to the Roman colony of Butrint, then Berat. Overnight in Berat.

Thursdays: BERAT – TIRANA

The tour continues to make its way north through Albania towards Croatia. After an exploration of UNESCO-listed Berat, it's on to a slice of Albania's coastline and finally the capital, Tirana. Although Saturday is the busiest night, Thursday is not bad either and you will have the whole night in which to sample the bars, clubs and nightspots in this up-and-coming city - a real taste of the Balkans!

Fridays: TIRANA - KOTOR - DUBROVNIK

It's an early start as we head for the border. Montenegro may be small but the rugged coast and delightful towns such as Kotor will impress.

We cross another border into Croatia and reach Dubrovnik late evening. Dubrovnik needs no introduction and arguably the city walls are even more striking by night and best appreciated with a cocktail, glass of wine or a cool beer in hand. Overnight hostel accommodation in the Lapad area of Dubrovnik is included here, as is breakfast the next day.

Saturdays: DUBROVNIK

After breakfast, your next step is up to you. Your tour may or may not end here as you might be boarding a Sail Croatia Navigator or Explorer one-way cruise round the islands from Dubrovnik to Split, taking the Balkan Road Trip Bosnia Adventure tour, spending a few nights in Dubrovnik, or simply just taking a flight home.

Horse-riding in Butrint, Albania's stunning National Park - only £60 GBP

Due to demand from travellers who wish to see more in Albania, we have introduced this new excursion for 2012!

Instead of taking the ferry to Saranda on Wednesday morning as you normally would, take the ferry over on Tuesday and enjoy an amazing half-day of horse-riding in Butrint’s stunning National Park, followed by an afternoon at the famous Blue Eye Spring. Our guide will collect you from the ferry terminal as soon as you come through customs at around 9.30am-10am and escort you to the riding centre where you can choose from 2 riding routes around the National Park.

Then, in the afternoon, you can either spend the afternoon at the local beach or take an optional trip to the Blue Eye Spring. Finally, the price includes accommodation at a delightful hotel near the National Park’s entrance on Tuesday night.The next day, you then join the Balkan Road Trip tour as normal.
