The Croatia to Slovenia Pass is a 3-day one-way tour that starts in Split in Croatia and finishes in Ljubljana and Bled in Slovenia. It really is a "natural beauties" tour that blows you away with how stunning the National Parks are in these regions of the Balkans.

From Split we travel directly to Krka - a Croatian gem that features the chance to actually swim in a waterfall plunge pool in a National Park! Late afternoon we drive up to Plitvice Lakes and stay overnight there.

The next day is spent in Plitvice National Park - the most breathtaking lakes and waterfalls network in Europe.

Finally, the last day we head north into Slovenia, straight to Bled. This magical area of Slovenia has everything from a mysterious island to a fairy-tale castle, with optional excursions that include horse-riding, boating, and canyoning.

A feast for the eyes: canyons, castles, islands, rapids, lakes and mountains - this tour has it all!

Saturday: SPLIT - KRKA - PLITVICE

Board the mini-bus and depart Split at midday. We head straight for a real treat: Krka National Park, which features something that is not allowed in Plitvice - the chance to swim in one of the cascade's plunge pools!

 

After Krka we go straight to Plitvice Lakes and overnight in bungalows close to the entrance, ready to get straight in the next morning.

Sunday: PLITVICE - RIJEKA

After breakfast we get straight into the National Park and as we get in so early, we avoid all the crowds and day-trippers and have a chance to absorb the natural beauty without the hordes!

Plitvice is the prize jewel in Croatia's impressive array of National Parks and is rated one of the top natural attractions in Europe. With its turquoise lakes - all linked by a series of beautiful cascades and waterfalls - it's easy to understand why. After around 5 hours in the park, we drive back to the coast and overnight in Rijeka. This city is a truly Croatian experience as it is not a tourist resort town. However, nearby Opatija also offers great options for nightlife. Overnight in Rijeka.

Monday: RIJEKA - BLED - LJUBLJANA

We head north, over the border and into Slovenia to finish the road trip with some seriously stunning mountain scenery.

There are lots of options in Bled: you can explore the town, lake and island yourself or take one of the optional excursions that include canyoning, horse-riding and cycle-hire. After a full day in Bled, you can choose to overnight here or take the tour bus back down to Ljubljana with its superb nightlife to enjoy a few drinks with the others in your group who are doing the same. Accommodation is not included in Bled or Ljubljana but you certainly have the choice to book to stay in either location.
